In Memory of Joeri Pross

In Memory of Joeri Pross

Hypercube Founder, fearless captain of Starship Hypercube, and dearly beloved friend Joeri Pross passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, 30th August.

Meeting Joeri changed our lives. From the moment we met him, we knew we weren’t talking to a “boss” but someone who would become a great friend and partner.

He believed in us at times when we didn’t value or believe in ourselves, and when the world made us doubt, big brother Joeri was there with strong words of encouragement and always had a plan.

Joeri repeatedly showed clients that he believed in them, too – often accepting tokens as payment instead of dollars, at great personal risk. It was hard not to admire him for this. And, he often shared these tokens with the entire team, without any prompting or expectation of being paid back.

Joeri helped us define what it means to be generous. Not "generous with an agenda" but true, open generosity.

Joeri’s open-hearted, open-door policy made it safe for us to talk about anything, anytime, no holds barred. Never one to sugar-coat, Joeri was proud of his “Dutch bluntness” – yet there was never a time we left a chat with him and didn’t feel better afterwards.

Joeri helped us fulfill dreams that wouldn't have been possible without him. He has made all of us better people.

And, Joeri has shown again and again how to run a business effectively while demonstrating unwavering loyalty to his people, all the while being an excellent, devoted father and husband.

Joeri Pross strove to make the world a better place. And he succeeded.

If you had a personal interaction with Joeri that marked you in any way, please be so kind as to share it with us so we can pass it along to his family.

Joeri was one of the most kindest and generous humans I have met. He helped my business tremendously and never asked for anything in return.

It's hard to know what to post. Joeri is my oldest friend in crypto. We started working together in 2014. He had a good heart and was always helping a friend in need. He was a good listener and someone I always looked up to. RIP buddy

Joeri was responsive, talented and in my opinion the best in the business. I used him and his firm again and again because he left absolutely no reasons to use anyone else. In fact I would say Joeri played a big role in the success of my companies. But dealing with him at events in person and over Zoom calls was my most memorable part of him. He was so kind, so understanding and listened intently to me as a human not just a client. God Bless this man!

Joeri was a visionary leader and a cherished friend to many. Hypercube's collaboration with our company was a testament to Joeri's creativity and dedication. His high-quality, efficient, and creative work on our animation video helped bring our services to life and reach a global audience. Joeri's impact on the industry and on those who had the pleasure of working with him will not be forgotten.

Joeri was a nice guy, healthy and full of wisdom. I still remember the trip in 2016, traveling Alkmaar with Rocky and Hiro. It was funny that Joeri was working at healthcare industry and told me cigarette is not good for health, but at the same time he rolling a weed for me and said  welcome gift from Netherlands, that s a double shot . How funny when we look at the  thick rolling thing . It was an unforgettable memory for me. You re in my thoughts and prayers. Miss you Joeri, rip.

I have worked with Joeri on several occasions. He was creative, energetic, pro-active, and was a good diplomat too. I loved his works, and other people were always impressed with them too. Rest in peace, Joeri.

Joeri was always a smiling face and a pleasure to work with. The world is saddened by this loss of a great kind soul. He will be greatly missed by the world and our team.

While I don't know who is gonna read this. After reading this lovely description of Joeri I only find it right to be open, honest and vulnerable.
Joeri (via Hypercube) was one of my first clients as I stepped away from the toxic American corporate world. While I was never a huge fan or had extreme knowledge of the crypto-world I loved being a project manager for a company that was doing something creative (actually the only creative company I've had whilst freelancing-- as an artist myself that felt great and important).
As a queer person, Joeri taught me that men in high positions weren't all bad people. That men in high places could be vulnerable, nice, sweet and generous. Joeri was also a wealth of knowledge in every aspect and corner of the business and I learned a great deal from him that has only helped grow my freelance business.
Beyond being a great leader in the work place Joeri was ALWAYS so kind when it came to personal things in my life. Whether it be asking to see some performances of mine back in the states and cheering me on. Or lending time or extending money during a great hardship in my life. For those things alone, I will ALWAYS respect, have love and deep admiration for him.

Joeri was the primary reason that I started working in crypto and he was an awesome support with all the work we did together. He introduced me to several projects and essentially helped me establish myself in crypto marketing. Most importantly though, he was just a great guy who I was fortunate to call a friend. I heard him speak with real love for his wife and kids. Sending huge amounts of love and best wishes to Joeri s family and friends.

I could not agree more with the words you have written on this page. Joeri has been a wonderfully supportive friend as well as business partner over the past years and will be sadly missed. I'm lost for words.

Joeri so generously signed the Giving What We Can Company Pledge to donate 10% of profits from Hypercube, and also covered the cost of several short animations for us at Giving What We Can. Beyond the donations doing immense good themselves, Joeri's generosity will be felt for years to come in the work that was done for us pro-bono, that inspires people to go on to donate and save and improve the lives of those in need. We at Giving What We Can were all grateful for this support of our mission.
